Danielle (Meagher) Marr Collins is an actor known for starring in TV shows such as 'Dublin Wives', and 'Mercedes & Me'. Danielle and the rest of the cast were nominated for an IFTA (Irish and Film TV Academy) award. Danielle wrote 'Mercedes & Me' as well as starring as one of the leads alongside actor Leigh Arnold. Danielle trained at The Lir Theatre (RADA) Dublin as well as The Irish Film Academy and The Gaeity School of Acting before completing on-screen training at The Actors Comedy Studio, Hollywood in addition to completing masters training on-screen at Pinewood Studios London. Danielle has completed Jill Edwards Comedy School of training in Brighton, UK as well as appearing on stage in Comedy Boom in Brighton doing stand up. She has also completed stand up comedy at The Gaeity School of Acting/\The Gaiety Theatre. She has enjoyed on stage successes with 'The Wild Duck' a Norwegian theatre play written by playwright Henrik Ibsen in 1884, this was her debut on stage following on from her success in an adaptation of 'Laughing Wild' by Christopher Durant. These were her major breakthrough roles on stage, which were hugely acclaimed before she penned television series 'Mercedes & Me' a single-cam sitcom for Channel 4 comedy blaps. Danielle also stars as Mercedes in this very funny sitcom about a Doctor gone off the rails. Danielle has also co-written 'Hell is Other Mothers' with Norma Sheahan. In 'Hell is Other Mothers' she stars alongside Norma Sheahan as Susan Mitchell a self help Guru/mother on the verge. Danielle has participated in other shows as herself including Celebrity Big Brother Season 12 in UK on Channel 5. She also co-presented Channel 4's '50 Plastic Surgery Shockers', as well as participating in The Clinic on RTE 2 as clinical doctor. She is dedicated to her craft, and continues weekly actor workouts in The Actors Studio London, or The Actors Comedy Studio in West Hollywood or wherever she might find herself. She also trained extensively under Margie Haber of Margie Haber Studio, as well as working closely with Bobbie Chance of Hollywood Actor's Showcase Studio. She has completed a Masters in Digital Filmmaking with Filmbase in Dublin, and produced award winning short Irish Film 'QED' which premiered at The Galway Film Festival 2017, before going on to win best short at Mexican Film Festival and Sante Fe Film Festival.
