Scott McPhail, born and raised in Kansas, graduated from Butler Community College in 2002 and the University of Kansas in 1994. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, he began working freelance as a set dresser and Art Director for various promotional spots for Fox Television and Fox Sports and independent projects. In 1996, Scott moved to DreamWorks SKG, where he called home for the next four years working on such Animated hits as The Prince of Egypt (1998), Antz (1998), Chicken Run (2000), and Shrek (2001). He continued to work under his own banner, Scobo Entertainment. As a producer, Mr. McPhail's credits include The Good Things (2001), winner of the 2001 Grand Prix Award at the Deauville International Film Festival of American Cinema, and his second film, Nice Guys Finish Last (2001). McPhail returned to DreamWorks Animation in 2003 where he worked in Animation Marketing and Production Services on Shrek 2 (2004) and Shark Tale (2004), Madagascar (2005), the Academy-Award winning Wallace and Gromit, Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005), Flushed Away (2006), Over The Hedge (2006), Shrek The Third (2007), BEE Movie (2007) and Kung Fu Panda (2008). After a brief time away, Scott transitioned to Paramount Pictures in 2012 as Director of International Theatrical Creative Services. In 2016, he was promoted to Executive Director, where he currently holds this title. He has contributed to over 60 International Theatrical marketing campaigns during his time at Paramount. Some of his highlights are the Transformers franchise, Mission: Impossible franchise, Paranormal Activity Franchise as well as critically acclaimed films like ROCKETMAN, SONIC the HEDGEHOG, A QUIET PLACE and the upcoming TOP GUN MAVERICK, A QUIET PLACE PART 2, just to name a few.
