Born in 1973 Steven first was on TV. news signing a bill for kids day with the mayor of Boise, Later photographed for an article in the Idaho Statesman on the start of the year for new kindergärtners. With the first acting gig In 4th grade as a dancing potato. This was followed by years of classical (5th grade thru Boise State University) and jazz choir (7th grade thru Boise State University.) Choirs, and plays. This included being in numerous competition-winning choirs at Fairmont Jr. High and Capital High School notably 9th Swing, and Capital Singers. He would have the pleasure of sitting in with Jazz luminaries, Oscar Peterson's jam sessions at Peter Schott's at the Idanha, and later with Keven Kirk at the Gamekeeper in the Owyhee. While at Capital He was in the then-new video club, and an early short by Darren Ogden (Later director of the filmed in Boise 35MM feature You Me and a Bag of Chips.). At Boise State, he was also the President of the BSU MENC chapter. After an enlistment in Army Intelligence, he returned to Boise State and received awards for review writing (Boise Statesman), Dancing, short film (documentary and narrative films BSU - Mac World and I2F2 Film fests), poetry, an essay published in Sports Car International, and several for comics (Boise Weekly). He also had a radio show - Radio 62 on KBSU, and executive produced "Loud" Chris Demarcus, co-star of Pizza Man Vs. the Dude (IMDB and member of rock groups, Stiff Valentine, 16 Volt, SMP, Dismantled, engineer for Front Line Assembly ) As well as recorded and released songs on IUMA with him under the comedy - punk - performance art group called The Too Much Coffee Men, based on all night post-party improv recordings, and an homage of the comic (TMCM) with him. He contributed some vocal samples for an early Stiff Valentine remix, and over a decade later he was the "Merch Girl" for Stiff Valentie's last performance (hopefully only for now) in Vancouver B.C. He became an early member of the local film collective Small Pond Films and was involved in crewing, acting, or making many of the early DIY video productions - mixed media shows in Boise. Further, as a mass com student at BSU, completed a student practicum and was a producer, and volunteer for TVTV - TVCTV, the local community access TV station. He competed in or led various teams for the I48 film competition. And worked on the award-winning H48 films including Convex (Parallel Worlds Productions). He has worked or volunteered on numerous local productions as everything from grip to documentarian, to sound, 2nd unit, script supervisor, and production assistant but takes pride in his work in craft services. Professionally he has worked as a Regal level 4 certified 35mm, IMAX, and digital projectionist. And as a Distance Learning Technician, and Video Instruction Manager for ISU. And is the inventor of various things from the Ez-Baked Oven. "Baking you and your brownies at the same time! EST 2009" to the Merrill Quantum Entanglement Drive - Reactor.
