Ivy Millais, English star of the theatre from the early 1900's, including 'The Sign of the Cross' in 1903-04 and 'The Prince and the Beggar Maid' in 1908-09 at the Grand Theatre, Southampton. beautiful star in few Cecil Hepworth films, the first was the orphan boy Oliver in the title role of 'Oliver Twist' directed by Thomas Bentley and co-starring Harry Royston as Bill Sykes, three years later in her second film she won the dramatic role of Mary Ashford in 'The Bottle' co-starring music hall star Albert Chevalier as her husband, she was just offered supporting roles in few more films afterwards, her last as Liza in 'A Grain of Sand' starring Stewart Rome and Chrissie White in 1917.
