Catherine Rix is a Canadian writer, producer, voice actor and casting director (voice). In 1997 Catherine formed The Loop Troop Canada, a professional film looping service which amassed over 400 feature film and television credits. Among them were Atom Egoyan's Chloe, David Cronenberg's Oscar-nominated A History of Violence, Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain and his Oscar-nominated Requiem for a Dream. Catherine as Director managed scripting, screenings, casting, re-voicing, translations and session direction. She has also line-produced numerous multiple-language versioning projects in languages as diverse as Mayan and Inuit. Catherine has written multiple feature screenplays ranging from epic blockbuster features to indie character dramas and has created & developed TV projects for networks and broadcasters for the Canadian, U.S. and U.K. markets. She is also a sought-after script consultant and story editor. Crossing genres and using her producing chops, Catherine also has created numerous factual projects that have been in development at the broadcast level. Several of her factual projects speak to important social issues that affect a broad cross-section of society.
