Maidi Roth worked as a composer and also as a music supervisor to more than 60 film scores and projects with over 40 different directors. From her career as an author, composer, and performer (3 albums for Universal Mercury between 1999 and 2007), Maidi Roth certainly has extensive experience with recording studios. She first began working on film music in 1998 with the feature film, Heroines ( Gerard Krawczick) . Her years of conservatory and violin studies allowed her to master orchestral sessions but she stands out for her ability to bring together different sound worlds in the same film without ever losing the unity or the musical identity. This approach to storytelling has earned her ongoing collaborations with directors Antoine Garceau ( 10%) , Pierre Pinaud ( Parlez moi de vous), Eric Guirado ( Possession) , Pascale Pouzadoux ( l'amour presque parfait) ou Nicolas Herdt. This mix of pop-rock-electro DNA and a more classical mastery of the score has earned her a number of commissions for original songs in films such as in the feature film, LOL (2009) or more recently in the unitary film, Il Est Elle (TF1), where pure sounds, dark and atmospheric electric guitars, and a rock remix of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" are mixed together.
