Mick Rossi Actor, writer, musician & producer began his career in Manchester, England; while only a teenager he formed the cult British Punk rock Band Slaughter And The Dogs. Mick has written & produced several albums with Slaughter And The Dogs to date; they have played with such notable acts as The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Damned, Talking Heads and many more. SATD were the first band in Manchester to release an independent single "Cranked Up Really High" in 1977. Q Magazine voted this landmark release one of the top 50 punk singles of all time.SATD are considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Punk Rock movement in Britain. Today SATD regularly headline major musical festivals around the world. Mick co-wrote & produced a collection of songs with actor Val Kilmer for Val's debut album. Recently, Mick returned to his musical roots by teaming up with fellow Manchester singer Chris Wicks. They formed "The Glorious" and together they wrote "Stories From a Fractured Youth" an album that takes you on a lyrical journey with infectious melodies & Rossi's magical guitar riff's. Mick wrote the music and produced & arranged the album. Guesting on the album was Sex Pistol Steve Jones, Cult guitarist Billy Duffy & Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots. The Glorious have just recorded their 2nd album "Afflecks Palace" which Mick produced & arranged; mixed by renowned musical genius Owen Morris (The Verve, Oasis, The Smiths, etc) and includes guest musicians Blondie's Clem Burke & Sex Pistols Glen Matlock. Mick made the transition into acting under the direction of famed British actor/director Keith Allen for the BBC. Since moving to LA, Mick works as an actor in both independent Film & TV. As a writer Mick has written scripts for actors Gabriel Byrne, Joanne Whalley & Patrick Bergin among others. Mick is the co-creator & writer of the Lionsgate hit "Played" which he also produced and stars in, opposite a star studded cast including Val Kilmer, Gabriel Byrne, Vinnie Jones, Anthony LaPaglia, the late great Bruno Kirby, Joanne Whalley, Patsy Kensit. "Played" took home awards for Best Picture at the Hollywood Film Festival & Best Original Screenplay at the Malibu International Film Festival. Mick followed up "Played" with the dramatic heist thriller "2:22" which he co- wrote with director Phillip Guzman; He played the lead role of "Gulliver Mercer". "2:22" stars Val Kilmer & Gabriel Byrne. It's Dog Day Afternoon meets Rififi. Reviews at the Santa Fe Film Festival have likened "2:22" to classic noir thrillers such as "Asphalt Jungle" & "Grand Hotel". "2:22" received 5 nominations including best lead actor for Mick at the Milan International Film Festival. "2:22" won best film at the Malibu International Film Festival and was chosen as the closing film at the St. Louis International Film Festival. Mick wrote & produced the physiological thriller "A Kiss and A Promise" with Phillip Guzman for Echo Bridge Entertainment. He played a tormented serial killer opposite Natasha Gregson Wagner, Síle Bermingham, Patrick Bergin & Robert Miano. "A Kiss And A Promise" opened the Dallas International Film Festival and was chosen to be the closing night film at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose. Next up for Mick is the gritty television drama BADLAND. Mick is co creator & co writer of BADLAND with director Phillip Guzman.
