Rouiched by his real name Ahmed Ayad (28/04/1921-20/01/1999), is an Algerian actor and humorist born in Algiers, from a father from Aït Djennad in the district of Tizi Ouzou and from a mother from Blida. He is the half-brother of singer Hadj Mrizek. During childhood, Rouiched did a thousand odd jobs to survive. Self-taught, his first role in a play by Abdelhamid Ababsa entitled "Estardjâ Yâ Assi" (Come back to you O unconscious). His performance saves the coin from the flop. He then embarked on the profession and became the leader of an artistic troupe. He rubbed shoulders with the great names of the time: Rachid Ksentini, Mustapha Badie, Nadjat Tounsi, Sid-Ali Fernandel, Mohamed Touri, Mustapha Kateb... His conception of art and theater earned him the mourning of Mahieddine Bachetarzi. After independence, he was part of the troupe of the Algerian National Theater, but obtained recognition on television and in the cinema in the film "Hassen Terro" by Mohamed Lakhdar-Hamina. Rouiched has become a very great figure in Algerian comic theater and cinema, will continue his career on Algerian Television where he will play in many sketches and TV movies until his death in 1999.
