Lars Schmidt was born on June 11, 1917 in Gothenburg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. He was a producer and writer, known for ABC Stage 67 (1966), Twenty-Four Hours in a Woman's Life (1961) and C'est encore mieux l'après-midi (1989). He was previously married to Yanne Noorup, Kristina Belfrage and Ingrid Bergman. He died on October 18, 2009 in Fjällbacka, Västra Götalands län, Sweden.
