My dad Alan Cubbin was his art teacher and taught him when he was a school kid in Bolton. My dad taught him drawing in the evenings and my Mum Pat Cubbin fed him. Both dead proud! He gave me the opportunity of being interviewed by Brian Cosgrove at Cosgrove Hall in the 80s when I was 16 but I was from a village, autistic and afraid of moving to the city. Nice meeting Brian mind . Total Penfold! Haha ;)
