Erik Scott is an American bass guitar player, producer and songwriter, with three solo albums under his belt. In 1994, Erik won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album for Pop Staples. Erik played bass, recorded and toured on two albums with the band Flo & Eddie in the 1970s. He wrote and performed music for Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, Starsky & Hutch and Vega$. The early 1980s, Erik played bass and toured with Alice Cooper during Flush the Fashion Tour. Staying on with Alice Cooper, Erik co-wrote, recorded and became the Music Director, touring for the Special Forces album, he also co-wrote and co-produced Zipper Catches Skin. Erik then went on to play bass and record for Kim Carnes, two albums, Barking At Airplanes and Lighthouse. MCA Records signed on the AOR band Signal, in which Erik was a founding member with lead singer Mark Free of King Kobra. Erik co-wrote and helped produce Loud & Clear with Kevin Elson of Journey fame. In the 1990s he was one of the founding members of Sonia Dada, which reached the number one position on the Australian music charts with their debut album that sold triple platinum. During Sonia Dada breaks from recording and touring, Erik released his debut solo album Other Planets in 2008, which received the album of the month at Echoes Radio. The album was released again in 2011. His second solo album And The Earth Bleeds was released in 2014, and third Spirits in 2015, debuting at number one on the ZMR Charts. Erik has also placed his music in major movies. Erik Scott has been featured in many music videos, industry magazines, and played an acting part in the soon to be released movie Bolden, Directed by Dan Pritzker.
