Emily Seresin was born in New Zealand. After graduating from Wellington Polytechnic School of Fashion she moved to London and trained under Marit Allen, Andrea Galer and Milena Canonero. She's been nominated 9 times for the AACTA / AFI award for best costume design, winning in 2004 for Somersault (2004).
