Angelo was born in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Italian parents and raised in Los Angeles. At an early age, he displayed a talent for music and athletics and by the end of high school, had earned himself offers for track and field scholarships to various universities including Brown, Yale, and Stanford, eventually deciding on UCLA. As a sprinter, Angelo trained with Olympic athletics including Danny Everett, Steve Lewis, and Mike Marsh. He enjoyed some memorable races, appeared on ESPN and had the honor of racing at the Los Angeles Coliseum against USC for one of the final meets ever to be held there. After graduating from UCLA with a BA in Anthropology, Angelo returned to his love of music and sound. As a bass player/keyboardist, Angelo performed in many bands and with various members of known bands including TOOL, The Breeders, Guns n Roses, Psi Com, Fear, Union 13, The Cult, and The Apex Theory. His film sound career began when an assistant position opened up at a local post production studio in Los Angeles. He got the job, spent much of his time working late hours honing his craft and absorbing and learning everything he could about the art of sound design. His passion and talent for film sound eventually earned him a position as editor/sound designer and offers for more films. As a member of the editors guild, Angelo has worked for all the major studios in Los Angeles, lives in sunny Santa Monica, and makes it a point to travel the world as much as possible.
