Georgia Tornai Packard is known for camera operating for independent and high profile features such as The Day After Tomorrow (2004), The Avengers (2012) and Sicario (2018). Working with leading contemporary filmmakers, her camera captures faces through demanding stunts, native environments, and international landscapes, all visualized by her creative storytelling. Active in medical charity, Packard served as president of Society of Camera Operators (1999-2004) avidly supporting and fund raising for the Vision Center at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Voices of Diversity, and Presbyterian Hospital's ChildLife-NICU. Teaching art for inner city programs and writing contributing articles, Georgia seeks to share others' stories in interviews for ICG 600, NATAS and Women In Film Heritage series while staying active in television and feature production. Georgia's passion started as a child in still photography under Ansel Adams' tutelage with a pinhole camera. She continues her Hollywood cinematography adventures plus international travels shooting documentaries, cultural history, white water rafting and Overland adventures. Her artistic writings are being prepared for upcoming publication.
