Since graduating from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), Shaun Parkes has been a constant on our screens with television credits including Netflix's Lost in Space, Da Vinci's Demons (STARZ), Line of Duty (BBC), The River (ABC), Doctor Who (BBC), and as the titular lead in Joe Penhall's Moses Jones (BBC). It was the quintessential nineties film Human Traffic, directed by Justin Kerrigan, that launched Shaun onto the big screen, becoming a firm fan favorite. He went on to star as 'Izzy' in The Mummy Returns, alongside Rachel Weisz, Dwayne Johnson and John Hannah, and opposite Dame Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett in Richard Eyre's critically acclaimed Notes on a Scandal. His rich stage career has seen him performing in numerous West End productions such as Blue/Orange and Elmina's Kitchen, both at The Nation Theatre, and as 'Aaron the Moor' from Titus Andronicus, at the world-renowned Shakespeare's Globe. Shaun has most recently starred as 'Frank Critchlow' in Mangrove, the first chapter in Steve McQueen's film anthology, Small Axe. Mangrove tells the true story of The Mangrove Nine and a trial which stood as the first judicial acknowledgment of behavior motivated by racial hatred within the Metropolitan Police.
