Chasen Hunt Parker was born on April 22, 1994 in Burbank, California to Richard and Andee Parker. Grandson of three time Oscar nominee, Eleanor Parker, Chase was bound to follow in her footsteps. By the age of 19, he had premiered two short films at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Showcase which he wrote, directed, produced and acted in. He studied film at Emerson College in Boston, MA from 2012-2016. He began his career as an actor at the age of two in an Arby's commercial among many others. He then made his way into daytime dramas at the age of five. He began as a supporting cast member on NBC's Sunset Beach (1997) as well as guest starring on 7th Heaven (1996) and General Hospital (1963). After finishing out his contract with NBC, his parents made the decision to head to Houston, Texas in pursuit of a normal high school experience. After breaking his foot going into his senior season of basketball, and seriously considering a career in medical practice, Chase decided to dive back into the storytelling realm. He starred in a production of You Can't Take It With You, as Tony Kirby, by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman. Chase took the message of the play as a direction for the next phase of his life and decided to truly pursue an education in theatre and film, given it was what he was most passionate about. He then found his love for writing and directing, so he began creating his own work involving all three. The first short film he wrote, Left Behind (2013), was the story behind a high school shooting, which he premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. He then made his second short film, GroupLove (2014), the story of young adults camping at a music festival, based on the events of Charles Manson, which he also took to the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Throughout the years that he has been a film maker, he has received a vast amount of film making advice from several role models such as: Quentin Tarantino, Richard Linklater and James Franco. Although what he took from them, big or small, was valuable, nothing could compare to his relationship with his grandmother Eleanor Parker. They were very close and had a loving relationship. She helped mature him in ways that many could not. Although Chase does not live in her shadow; he does honor her illustrious career with one of his own that is still growing.
