Born in St. Petersburg, Russia. At age 14, Igor and his parents Julian and Ludmila Panich ( both actors and directors) emigrated to Israel. A year later the family moved to Germany. The following year Igor was accepted at Ampleforth College, England to complete his schooling. Three years later, having received a BA in History from the University of London, Igor moved to New York. For two years he was privileged to study with Lee Strasberg until the latter's death in 1982. During the next eleven years Igor acted in Films and TV, produced ballet videos with stars of the American Ballet Company, produced and starred in an off-Broadway production of Cyrano, drove limousines, developed real estate, and worked as a builder, and ran a polling company among other things. In 1991 he returned to Europe, which later led him to return to Russia. There, together with his parents, he produced "Yulian Panich: The Road Home" - a four-part TV documentary for REN TV, Russia. In 1995 Igor moved to Paris where he wrote his first book - an international thriller "La Sibérienne". It was published in French by XO Editions, Paris.
