Joshua L. Pearson is an award-winning American film and television editor, known for the Academy Award-winning documentary film, Summer of Soul (... Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), and the Academy Award-nominated documentary film What Happened, Miss Simone? Pearson's documentary film work also includes Under African Skies, Keith Richards: Under the Influence, and Whitey: United States of America v. James J. Bulger. Pearson has cut episodes of numerous notable documentary limited series, including episodes of Netflix's Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes,Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich], Bobby Kennedy for President, History Channel's Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, FDR, NatGeo's Mars, and Showtime's The Fourth Estate. Born in Philadelphia, Pearson graduated with a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 1986. Pearson and friends formed the video art group Emergency Broadcast Network (EBN). EBN signed to TVT Records, toured with the first Lollapalooza tour, and created video content for U2's Zooropa tour.
