Emmy nominated filmmaker Cecilia Peck has always been drawn to stories of individuals who stand up for their beliefs. She directed and produced the Netflix Original "Brave Miss World," the story of Miss World Linor Abargil's fight for justice and triumph over trauma following a brutal rape crime. She also directed and produced "Shut Up & Sing," which was shortlisted for the 2007 Academy Awards, won Best Documentary at the Aspen, Sydney, Woodstock Film Festivals, and Special Jury Prize at the Toronto and Chicago Film Festivals. It was named Best Documentary by the Boston and San Diego Film Critics Societies, and won the Courage in Film Award from the Women's Film Critics Circle among others. Cecilia produced "A Conversation with Gregory Peck," an intimate portrait of her father, which premiered as a Special Selection at the Cannes Film Festival, for TCM and American Masters. She directed and produced "Justice For All," an examination of capital punishment through the eyes of one death row prisoner, was Producer on "The Hamptons," 4 hour reality mini-series, ABC TV, and Assoc. Producer on "Defending Our Daughters" for Lifetime TV. A graduate of Princeton University, she lives with her husband writer Daniel Voll, and their two children, in Santa Monica, CA.
