Shana Petrone first strutted out her awesome vocals on radio waves in 1989, when her hit Freestyle/Dance song, "I Want You" was released. At that time she was known simply by her first name and was a very young teenager. "I Want You", Shana's debut album, was released the same year, and spawned a couple of more singles, including "Falling Slowly" and "You Can't Get Away" in 1990. A popular name in the freestyle community, a sophomore album was in the works as a follow-up. However, Shana declined and the album was never released. Her first love was for country music, and hoped to pursue her career toward that direction. In 1998,going by her full name, "Heaven Bound", Shana's first country single, arrived. The song did not become a popular hit on the charts, yet the song attracted a new audience and respect as a serious artist. Her follow-up ballad, "Something Real" proved to be successful. Although Shana's country album was never officially released, she is a worthy artist that's sure to rise to the top as other popular country artists.
