Alex Pinder was born In London to an English mother and Indian father. His birth name is Jyoti Mukherjee. He was educated in England India, Australia and France. He completed his acting training at The Ensemble Studios(graduated1979) in Sydney Australia and L'Ecole Jacques Lecoq Paris France(grad.1983). He has numerous theatre projects. He is the co-founder of Artists in Community International, that provides art and drama programs for vulnerable communities in Nepal and India.
