Tim Pleshaw was born in Heidelberg, Germany at the same U.S. Army hospital that General George Patton died in. Grandfather nicknamed him "Diamond" because he thought he "sparkled". Came to the U.S.A in the 60's via Boston/ Cape Cod, growing up in Nashville, Tn. through the 70's into the 80's. Graduated Bellevue H.S. & 2 Associate Degrees~ 1 from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. in Commercial Art & Photography & the other from Atlanta, Ga. in Music Business. Became Head layout artist for the Service Merchandise Co. to Senior Correction Officer/Dept. Artist for Davidson County Sheriffs Dept. but his heart was in the entertainment business. Those years were "intertwined" with the rock band(s)!~ As Lead singer/songwriter of hard rock bands Rokkenhorse, Diamond's N Dust & Bondage through much of the 80's & into the 90's the Diamond was able to "shine". "We played in many clubs across America from the Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood to the Ritz in New York City, at one time or another." One of the first professional gigs, band won a contest to open for Ozzy Osbourne & Def Leppard at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta! Later opened some shows for Joan Jett to Quiet Riot ( even showing up as an extra in both their music videos!). One career highlight was performing at "the real" Woodstock 20th Anniversary on the original Yasgur's farm site! Worked for MCA (Uni & Geffen)helping to get Jackyl "noticed" to a signing by Georgia-branch executives, then moving to Universal City, Ca. MCA designing the artwork for CD box sets like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix & Bing Crosby among the more notable. An In-Studio coordinator at the infamous Record Plant Studios in Hollywood. Worked in the production of TV shows "Seinfeld"(NBC) & "Sparks"(UPN). Art director & assistant art director on many film projects as well as Acting...one specifically as a serial-killer in a low budget cult favorite, "Eighteen". Worked in production for KISS' "Psycho Circus", U2's "Pop Mart" & The Rolling Stones "Bridges To Babylon" Tours, Also for Pace Concerts, and was one of the original ground layers on a Music festival called Itchycoo that would eventually become Bonnaroo. Today "Diamond" is still writing music & stories for various publications including his own column "Diamond & Rust", working on various film & music business projects including West Coast A&R for FnA Records, Commercial voice-over work ( as he does the best Elvis & Jimmy Stewart "talking" voices in the business, among others! ), writing & illustrating a children's book, married & the father of identical twin girls. ( Although 1, Cheyenne Summer died at almost a year old & the surviving daughter Shenandoah Rain is autistic. ) He takes care of "Shandi" as a full-time Father, supporting finding cures for autism & Special Olympics projects...He loves Classic Glen Campbell ( Founded & run 2 GC Facebook groups like the "Glen Campbell Should Be In The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" ), Elvis, Clint Eastwood, 70's era KISS & Van Halen, AM Radio from the 60's & 70's, old movies & TV shows, traveling, photography, American history, baked-stuffed lobster & sushi, dark chocolate & since 1977 has been the biggest New England Patriots fan south of the Mason-Dixon line.
