Macc H. Plaise is a Haitian American actor. He was born in Haiti and grew up very poor. His mother "Marie O. Sylvain" left him behind under his grandmother's care at the age of 6 in pursuit of a better life in the United States. At the age of 8 after seeing his first movie in a theater with his oldest cousin "Muscadin Jean Yves Jason", he decided to become an actor. He said "I fell in love with acting when my cousin told me that the people in the film were actors and that the story was not true and was made for entertainment". The next day, still filled with enthusiasm and excitement from his movie date with his cousin; he gathered some stick figures, a kerosene lamp, some matches, some strings, a white sheet and made his own version of a movie. He invited all the kids from his poor neighborhood and charged them a penny each to watch the film. He raised 45 cents that day and gave it to his grandmother. He also became known as the neighborhood's filmmaker. He later reunited with his mother in Brooklyn, NY at the age of 14 where he would go on to graduate from Erasmus Hall high school. He later joined HB Studio in the Greenwich Village in New York City to study acting. He attended La Guardia Community College and then Marymount Manhattan College to study theater but dropped out after his second year. During his college years he acted in plays at the school's black box which is considered off Broadway. Plaise's first leading role was a short romantic comedy entitled One More Try (2006). 7 years later, he was contacted by the director; Patrick for the feature-length adaptation of the short film under a new title Forever Yours (2016). Plaise has also appeared in America's Most Wanted, The Breaks, Luke Cage and several other television series as co-star and supporting actor. In addition to all of the above, Plaise Associate Produced the documentary film entitled Sweet Micky For President. The documentary has won several awards and deals with the issues facing Haiti and its former pop star turned President. Macc also won the best actor award at the "MPAH Haiti Movie Awards", for his role as a charming lover in the romantic comedy Forever Yours. In 2010, after the catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake in Haiti; he founded the non-profit Let's Go Haiti Marathon, Inc. The first and only marathon in Haiti. The purpose of the event, is to encourage the healthy lifestyle in Haiti, provide a platform for young less fortunate runners (athletes) to develop their talent and keep tourists visiting Haiti. Plaise has four sons and one daughter, Peyton, Moella, Owen, Walo, and Exand.
