Maria Psomas is a Greek-American actress, playwright, and acting teacher. She worked in off-Broadway theatre in New York for 10 years while being represented exclusively by the Carson-Adler Agency. She also worked in commercials and film. As a playwright, her work has been produced in New York and Minneapolis. Her short play "The Girl Show" premiered off-Broadway in New York in 2006; her full-length play "L.A. is Two Hours Behind" received a staged reading at The Playwrights Center in Minneapolis. She studied acting at Yale School of Drama and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. In 2010 she was officially certified by Ivana Chubbuck in Los Angeles to teach The Chubbuck Technique. Presently she lives and teaches in New York.
