Born in 1967 in Tuscany. He attended the course of "History and Criticism of Cinema" with Lino Micciché at the University of Humanities of Siena. In 1990 he moved to Paris where he met Marco Ferreri and became his assistant director, writer and collaborator for five years. In the last twenty years he has worked as first assistant director for renown directors like: Michelangelo Antonioni, Philippe Garrel, Paul Verhoeven, Dario Argento, Jean-Pierre Denis, Nicchiarelli, Celestini, Di Costanzo, Bechis, Martone, Crialese... among many others. He directed and produced his first feature film: "La Guerra del Maiale" cinematographic adaptation of the great novel "Diario de la Guerra del Cerdo" the successful and well-known Argentinean writer Adolfo Bioy Casares. The film was shot entirely in Argentina and has participated in numerous international festivals including: 35 Festival Internacional Del Nuevo Cine Latino-americano - La Habana, Festival Des Films Du Monde - Montréal, Mostra De Cinema Italia - Barcelona, XV Rencontres De Cinéma Sud-Américain - Marseille, Primavera Del Cinema Latino-Americano - Roma, Festival Isola Mondo - Isola Del Cinema - Roma. XXVIII Festival Del Cinema Latino Americano - Trieste (Awards: "Best Director" and "Critic's Award"); Festival Le Quattro Giornate Del Cinema Di Napoli ("Award For Best Screenplay") - XVII Festival Internazionale Del Cinema Di Lenola "Inventa Un Film" (Mention: "Oro Invisibile").
