Andrew Rein was born in New York City, and grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. He has a B.A. in Drama from Duke University and an M.F.A. in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. In New York, Andrew has been seen Off-Broadway in "Jericho" by Jack Canfora, "Acts of Love," and "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Regionally he has appeared in "The Source" at NJ Rep, "THIS" at Theaterworks Hartford, "Around the World in 80 Days" and "Bloody Blackbeard" at Triad Stage, and "Mojo" at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, among many others. In 2016, he won the Webby Award for Best Writing, Online Film and Video for The Small Time (2015), which he co-created and co-wrote with Jack Canfora. Andrew stars in the series as struggling literary agent Ben Bernstein. The series also stars Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker as Ben's self-help author parents. In addition to winning the Webby for writing, the series won Gold at the D.C. Webfest, Best Webseries at Blackbird Film Festival, and was an official selection of the 2016 New York Television Festival's Independent Pilot Competition. On television, Andrew played Councilman Leonard in Power (2014) and has been seen in Luke Cage (2016), Odd Mom Out (2015), Gossip Girl (2007), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), Law & Order (1990), as well as in numerous commercials. Andrew's film credits include 39 and a Half (2019), Remains (2011), Ménage à trois (2005), and Bobby G. Can't Swim (1999). Andrew lives with his wife and daughter in New York.
