Originally from Columbia, Missouri Paul attended Northeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Following college, Taylor spent time in Los Angeles acting primarily in primetime episodic and sitcom television. During which time, he used his college athletics experience and exercise science education to start a personal training/nutritional counseling business servicing Hollywood's elite. In October of 1999 Paul joined the cast of the CBS drama, As the World Turns (1956), as Isaac Jenkins, a role for which he received a 2001 Daytime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor. As industry accolades and the tremendous fan response continue to grow, so too does the popularity of the character further acknowledging the talents of its portrayer. Taylor's other film and television credits include roles on The Drew Carey Show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Touched by an Angel, Ally McBeal, City Guys, Oh Grow Up, The Norm Show, Time of Your Life and the BET movie, Masquerade (2000). Two feature film projects entitled _Tinseltown (2002)_ and _Painting, The (2002)_ are set for theatrical release later this year; the latter of which, Taylor served as Producer, Music Supervisor and starred in the lead role. Commercially, Paul has national and global campaigns with advertising companies representing a variety of products including: Crest Toothpaste, Adidas, Lee Dungarees, Gatorade and the US Army. Additionally, Taylor has appeared in several music videos with artist such as: Da' Brat, Kelly Price, Jermaine Dupri, and K-Ci & Jojo. Aside from his acting career, Paul performs in the hip-hop group D'Brethryn ("The Brotherhood"). Currently, the group is working on several video game projects and movie soundtracks. Taylor's other entertainment gigs include: stand-up comedy, music and screenwriting, sports and fashion modeling, and speaking engagements. Paul is active in several charities and fundraising events including: Big Brother/Big Sister; Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS; Pasadena California's Black History Month Celebration; North Shore Animal League; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and NYPD and FDNY.
