Mona Vasiloiu is originally from Romania, where she started her career in 1993. She worked in Romania, Bulgaria, and Ukraine as well as most of the United States. Mona has worked on more than 40 films and television series. Her many credits include Madhouse (a $10 million film produced in her homeland of Romania) for an Academy Award-winning production company, Lakeshore Entertainment, Power Rangers (kids' live-action TV series for Fox Kids/Fox Family), Young Blades (kids live action adventure TV series for PAX TV), as well as several direct to DVD low budget horror thrillers. Her new career stage includes TV reality hits like I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant (Discovery Health Channel), Gator Boys (Animal Planet) and Hollywood 911 (Reelz). Mona has worked in production and promotion capacities for several film-related events. She served as the Executive Producer for the Delray Beach Film Festival where she created a partnership with the Transylvania International Film Festival. She was an event coordinator and promoter for events for Women in Film - Los Angeles, as well as a board member of The Glendale Historical Society Annual Gala. She is also a member of the Screen Actors Guild, her credits as a Voice Over artist include Van Helsing, Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance, and Agents of Shield. Earlier in her career, Mona was co-owner of a commercial production company in her native Romania where she produced over 20 commercials for national and local markets for international advertising agencies including JW Thompson, Saatchi & Saatchi, and McCann Ericsson. Mona holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University, Bucharest, Romania, and she is also a National Certified Ski Instructor (member of Professional Ski Instructors of America - P.S.I.A). When time permits, Mona acts as a Red Cross volunteer and Community Emergency Response Team member. Mona was listed as number 10 in the Famous Unit Production Managers on Ranker.com. In June 2017, ANTENA 3, a major TV station in Romania produced and aired a documentary about her life. In 2018, after 25 years in the Entertainment Industry, Mona started a new journey by pursuing a career in the United States Government and served as the Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the San Mateo Medical Center in San Mateo, CA and was a committee member and videographer for Women in County Government. During the 2020 COVID pandemic, Mona served as a Contact Tracer for the San Mateo Public Health Department and Safety Officer for the Emergency Office Center of San Mateo County. In 2021, as a result of her unique long-time expertise and multiple certifications, Netflix recruited her as a Production Safety Manager where she is still working in the same capacity as of the summer of 2023.
