Peter Walsh

Record Producer - Recording and Mix Engineer, Peter Walsh, is best known for his work on the breakthrough Simple Minds album, New Gold Dream, and for his long association with Peter Gabriel; notably as co producer and mixer of Plays Live, & Grammy award winning, Secret World Live. He has co produced, recorded and mixed the last seven Scott Walker albums, including the critically acclaimed score for Brady Corbet's award winning film 'The Childhood Of A Leader'. Joining Utopia Studios, London, in 1978, Peter earned his first UK Gold disk in 1981 with Heaven 17's debut album, Penthouse And Pavement. In 2002 he was awarded a Latin Grammy as producer of the Miguel Bosé album Sereno. Recent projects include albums with Gilbert O'Sullivan (BMG), producing and engineering Mute Records artist Daniel Blumberg's 'Minus', and co-producing, recording and mixing the Scott Walker score for the latest Brady Corbet movie 'Vox Lux'. Alongside production commitments Peter writes a monthly column for Sound & Recording magazine and continues to present production, recording and mixing workshops / masterclasses for the Abbey Road Institute.
