In 1997, Jonathan Shepard, left a 10-year sales and marketing career in the telecommunications sector to pursue his passion for film. In the last 15 years his production career has encompassed virtually all formats of film and video content creation. As a hands on producer he is deeply engaged in the technical aspects of all physical and creative production from development through delivery. From his first gig as a location scout on Andy Garcia's "Just the Ticket", he moved quickly up the ranks in both independent film and national television production. His projects include work for HBO, FOX/Paramount, CBS, MTV, Vh1, Nickelodeon, Showtime and Comedy Central, American Zoetrope, Possible Films, HSI, Merchant Ivory, Bigel-Mailer, Double A Films, The Shooting Gallery, 40Acres and a Mule, Robot Films, 10x10,and many independent production houses. He spent two years (2005-06) working in Development as part of the Production Management team for MTV Networks where he lead production teams on several series and development projects including "Juvies" (MTV), "TheNext White Rapper"(VH1), "High School Stories" and the pilot of Logo Network's "The Big Gay Sketch Show" (Logo). From 2008-09 he resided as the in-house Director and Supervising Producer for The Doorpost Film Project - an online short film festival & competition, voted among Filmmaker Magazine's "25 Festivals worth the entry fee" in 2009. Mr. Shepard produces independent film and television programming and serves as Executive Producer at DVA, a full service production house in North East Florida.
