Daniel Sladek

Daniel Sladek is the Emmy Award and Producers Guild Award nominated executive producer of the critically acclaimed film "Prayers For Bobby" starring Sigourney Weaver, and winner of the 2010 GLAAD Award and Prism Award. He most recently served as co-executive producer of VH1's documentary special "Ricky Martin: Behind the Scenes of the Vegas Residency". He was also consulting producer on the Fox reality series "Q'viva" from Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment starring Jamie King, Jennifer Lopez & Mark Anthony. Sladek was also consulting producer of "Q'Viva Live at Mandalay Bay". Sladek is a well established personal manager representing actors, writers and directors, including legendary director Jamie King (Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour; Madonna's longtime creative director; multiple tours for superstars including Britney Spears; Rihanna; The Spice Girls, etc.) www.jamiekingofficial.com. Other clients include celebrity designer Ryan Brown, star of Bravo's hit reality series "Flipping Out". In addition to production and management, Sladek Entertainment brokers select literary publishing deals, film & television distribution deals as well as provides consulting services regarding global licensing & brand development. Prior to the creation of Daniel Sladek Entertainment Corp., Sladek partnered with producer Silvio Muraglia to form Cine Grande Corporation. The company enjoyed a three-year relationship with USA Pictures to produce independent feature films and television programming. Sladek and Muraglia produced four films: Dimension film Russell Mulcahy's Tale Of The Mummy shot on location in Luxembourg starring Jason Scott Lee, Louise Lombard, Christopher Lee, Gerald Butler, Jack Davenport, Shelley Duvall and Michael Lerner; USA Pictures release Sub Down, also shot in Luxembourg starring Stephen Baldwin, Tom Conti, Gabrielle Anwar and Kevin Connolly (Story by Muraglia and Sladek); HBO's Silent Trigger lensed in Montreal under the direction of Russell Mulcahy; and Dimension Films' Hidden Assassin, shot on location in Prague and directed by Ted Kotcheff. Prior to his Cine Grande partnership, Sladek served as Executive Vice President of Quinta Communications, where he was Executive in Charge of Production of Quinta's slate including USA Networks' thriller Voyage starring Rutger Hauer and Eric Roberts; USA Networks critically acclaimed drama Nobody's Children starring Ann Margret and Clive Owen; and Universal Pictures' Foreign Student starring Robin Givens and Marco Hofschneider. Sladek was Vice President of Creative & Administrative Affairs at Michael Jaffe's upstart Spectacor Films where he served as Executive in Charge of Production on numerous films including HBO's Wedlock starring Rutger Hauer; Associate Producer of NBC's Shattered Trust starring Melissa Gilbert; and Co-Producer of Mad At The Moon starring Mary Stuart Masterson and Hart Bochner. Over a period of four years, Sladek participated in the development, production and distribution of over 20 television movies and mini-series including NBC's The Hijacking Of The Achille Lauro and the NBC mini-series The Great Escape II while also supervising in-house production deals. Over the past 25 years, Sladek managed the careers of numerous notable artists including Marco Hofschneider (Europa, Europa), Alexandra Paul (Baywatch), Tony Award nominee Adam Cooper (Swan Lake), Tony Award nominee Ian Richardson (My Fair Lady, Gormanghast), Academy Award nominee Ian Bannen (Flight of the Phoenix, Waking Ned Devine), and British horror legend Christopher Lee (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings). Sladek was a member of the UCLA Film and Television Dept. extension faculty for fourteen years. He studied film at the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a Producer Fellow of the American Film Institute. While studying at AFI, Sladek co-founded and was president of the entertainment industry philanthropy Young Artists United, uniting celebrities and other industry professionals in a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens nationwide. The organization was honored with the Presidential Commission Against Drunk Driving Distinguished Service Award and won the International Broadcasting Association Commercial of the Year Award for YAU's safe sex public service campaign. A lifelong activist, Sladek was honored by Washington D.C.-based PFLAG National with the 2011 Entertainment Industry Leadership Award. The same year, Frontiers Magazine named him one of the Top Ten LGBT Community Activists. He previously served on the Los Angeles Board of Directors of the Jewish National Fund. Daniel Sladek is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
