Steve Sobel is an actor, writer, and producer from Miami Beach, FL. He attended Miami's New World High School for the Arts before studying theater and film at USC. As an actor, Steve is known for his appearance on Season 3 of Westworld (2016), playing a child predator that Charlotte Hale (Tessa Thompson) discovers grooming her son in the park and strangles to death. Metro UK, Britain's largest newspaper, described the provocative scene as "the greatest sequence in Westworld history." Steve has a recurring role in sketches on A Little Late with Lilly Singh (2019) playing a jerky NBC executive. Other roles include playing a reluctant foster father in the film Love is Never Wasted (2018), a celebrity chef in Last Meal (2018) (winner of the Napa Valley Film Festival), a Hollywood agent in the horror film Stalker (2020) (winner of the Austin Film Festival), and a sex-toy wielding maniac in the comedy spoof The Hungover Games (2014). Steve has a background in stand-up and improv comedy and has appeared in dozens of national commercials. As a screenwriter, Steve has written scripts or done punch-ups for every major film studio. He also writes for children's animation, including the Emmy-winning Vampirina (2017). In addition, Steve works as a writer/producer in unscripted television on shows such as The Titan Games (2019) (writing for Dwayne Johnson) and BattleBots (2015). Steve is the creator of the original comedy web series Sad Dad Brad, about a struggling divorced dad. He is married to actress Marita de Lara and they have two children, Lulu Sobel and Axel Sobel.
