Ted Sperling (also known as Theodore Sperling) is a conductor and director, known primarily for his work in the musical theater and on the concert stage. He is a Tony Award winner for his orchestrations of The Light in the Piazza, and a multiple Grammy Award nominee. He has been the Artistic Director of MasterVoices since 2012, and has directed and conducted most of the major symphony orchestras in the US, as well as orchestras in Europe and Asia. He has directed the premieres of five off-Broadway musicals, and conducted major revivals of South Pacific, The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady. Stars that Ted has conducted and/or directed include Anne Hathaway, Glenn Close, Eric Idle, Kevin Kline, Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Michael Buble, Rufus Wainwright, Randy Newman, Bryn Terfel, Deborah Voigt, Linda Lavin, Harvey Feierstein, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, Kristen Chenoweth, Isabel Leonard, Lauren Graham, Norbert Leo Butz, John Lithgow, Lauren Ambrose, Patti Lupone and Barbara Cook.
