After having production deals at Warner Brothers and Paramount Pictures, former President of Bakula Productions Tom Spiroff has formed his own production company, Macedon Media, Incorporated. Macedon Media has already wrapped production on two independent film comedies; "Chicken Man" and "Two Divorced Guys in a Bar", as well as the television pilot, "Reality Check". "Chicken Man" and "Two Divorced Guys in a Bar" were Official Selections at the 2006 Metro Shorts Film Festival, and "Chicken Man" was an Official Selection at the 2006 Macedonian Film Festival in Toronto. All were produced and directed by Tom. Tom produced the Indie Feature Films "Escanaba in da Moonlight" and "Super Sucker", both written, starring, and directed by Jeff Daniels. "Super Sucker" won the 2002 Audience Award at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Film Festival in Aspen Colorado. Tom began his producing career in the theatre, and later began to concentrate on areas of film and television. As President of Bakula Productions, Inc., he was integrally involved in the acquisition, development, and production of a variety of projects. Tom Produced the CBS television series "Mr.& Mrs. Smith" (Maria Bello), the CBS series pilot "Prowler" (Scott Bakula), Executive Produced the critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated Showtime Feature "What Girls Learn" (Elizabeth Perkins), as well as the CBS Tele-Film "Papa's Angels" (Cynthia Nixon). Spiroff grew up in Dearborn Michigan, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. In 1982, he moved to New York City to pursue his career as a producer, but also worked as an actor in numerous off-Broadway plays and musicals. Tom created the role of SAL in the hit off-Broadway musical "Nite Club Confidential," and when the show came to Los Angeles, he came with it. Ultimately settling in LA, he continued to produce theatre, but began the transition to film, working with producer Matt Williams ("Home Improvement").
