Brad was born and raised in a small farm community near rural Mansfield, Ohio. After attending Ohio State University and working briefly in the Columbus music scene as an engineer, Brad took off for Orlando, Florida. He quickly landed performing gigs at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Florida. Brad returned to Mansfield in 1993 to work on his first major feature film The Shawshank Redemption (1994). His brief stint with players Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, and director, Frank Darabont was all it took to bring Brad to Hollywood. Brad's first real break came via the short film Breakdown (1997), directed by Jeff Byrd and recipient of the 1998 Acapulco Black Film Festival, Best Short Film Award. Brad has become a staple in Jeff Byrd films having recently completed his fourth collaboration, Turnaround (2002).Brad has also segued into a writing collaboration on several projects with Jeff and his producing partner Eric K. George.
