Danny Stefan aka 'Cosmik Dano' has been around since Edsels and Beatles became obsolete. Born in Sacramento, CA., before World War 6, he spent most of his early life travelling around America with his folks. Learned to play the guitar at age eleven, he went on to be a singer / guitarist in many local bands. Attended college in upstate New York, studying Music Theory. Moved to Florida for a brief period during which he played in several blues groups. After moving back to New York, where he would play the club scene doing John Lennon songs, he became an original songwriter and learned many innovative studio techniques. He got his feet dipped in the movie industry following his encounter with comedian Sandy Baron who introduced Cosmik Dano to Woody Allen. Dan then, again, drove out to Arizona and landed a role as a S.W.A.T. Team Member in the feature film, "Static", starring Keith Gordon and Amanda Plummer. "The Cool News", created, written and directed by Cosmik Dano was a public access television program, presented on the early days of Cox Cable. Dan played a character in the show modeled after anchormen, Ted Koppel and Dan Rather, called 'Dan Krapple'. Much humour to be had! Cosmik Dano's zest for writing songs and playing the guitar re-emerged with lightning force and he formed the band, "The Cosmiks". After constructing the 'Black Hole Studio' (named for its 'digital impunity' abilities, and a 'whatcha hear is whatcha get' outlook), he became the sole proprietor of a new independent label, 'X RADAR Publishing (ASCAP)', releasing many albums, with Cosmik Laila on bass, keyboards, and vocals & Cosmik Celia on flute and vocals.
