Born in Bangor Northern Ireland in the mid seventies, Paul's acting and imaginative writing skills soon became apparent. Not content with simply acting in school and church plays and sketches, he began to write & script them. After years of writing and producing home movies with his friends, Paul finally got the chance to hone his skills in 1997 at North Down College where he wrote, directed, acted, edited and produced the films Snare and Paper Thin both of which were very well received by audiences. As well as producing his own work, Paul's talents were used by other young film makers such as Gareth Myles and Kirsty Rodgers. After college, Paul decided to change the name of his production company from 'Virtual Humanity' to 'Uncle Monkey' in 2000 and with it took a new direction. Paul's work, while maintaining its wildly imaginative style and wickedly dark sense of humour, became a lot more personal. Now the stories come straight from his own philosophies, observations and outlook.
