Extremely prolific and ubiquitous bit player Norman Stevans was born on December 14, 1916 in New York. Stevans first began appearing in films in uncredited minor roles in the mid-1940's. A rough looking man with a craggy face and dark (later silver gray) hair, Norman could be spotted in countless movies and TV shows as party guests, reporters, passengers on ships or in elevators, or patrons in bars, nightclubs, or restaurants. Stevans died at age 63 from cancer on July 15, 1980 in Burbank, California.
