Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Tony Streather, OBE, was a British Army officer and experienced mountaineer who scaled the world's highest mountains, including K-2 (the second highest mountain in the world); Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest peak, and Tirich Mir, the highest mountain in the Hindu Kush region of northern Pakistan. Later an instructor at Sandhurst, Colonel Streather was an active mountaineer well into his sixties.
