Derrick Strickland

Born in Conyers, GA, Derrick studied Broadcast Journalism and Business at Georgia State University. He then traveled and lived all over the world - Paris, Tokyo, Italy, New York - as an adventurer and a vagabond for nearly a decade, doing both print and commercial work. He appeared in over 50 commercials for clients such as Diet Coke, Pepsi, Armani and Nivea among many others. He also starred in a music video for the song This Ain't A Love Song by Bon Jovi. Citing weather as the primary catalyst, he moved from New York to Los Angeles for good where he continued his work in print and commercials and began working in all phases of film, video and music production. He has worked in front of and behind the camera, writing, shooting and editing in a myriad of productions as well as coordinating productions in the office, solidifying his overall knowledge of the production process. While continuing to pursue film, he recently started an unscripted production company, Nowhere Somewhere, where he brings his love of film and the quality of film to the unscripted world.
