Although born and raised in Montreal, Sharman has spent much of her time in England and Ireland. She has a BFA from Concordia University. She has studied Drama at The Banff School of Fine Arts, The London Drama Studio and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. You can catch her on television in The Heritage Minutes (Canada) as Nellie McClung. She can also be seen as "Melba" in More Tales of the City. Other principal roles include Who's Afraid of the Dark, Urban Angel and, most recently, "Mundane" in The Ladies Room. A special honour came to Sharman when asked to perform the role of "Gertrude" in Hamlet for the first Governor General Awards at the National Arts Center in Ottawa. She loves voice work and has narrated a series of children's stories in which she also performed all the character voices. She has also performed vocally in various animated series as well as documentaries for the National Film Board of Canada.
