She was born and raised in Texas and started shooting in high school, majored in photography in college and served a two year apprenticeship with a Master Photographer after college. She can not imagine doing anything else. What she loves most about shooting is that she can take just a moment and capture a part of what makes someone who they are. She captures a little part of her client's personality and show you who they are or conversely, create for them what they want "YOU" to see them as. She shoots in a variety of fields but has to say she enjoys most working in film and music. It is creative challenging and most days....a lot of fun? She likes the excitement of seeing what the Director and DP are creating and then being able to pull their vision into her film. There is also something about seeing the actor's mood and emotion playing on a motionless image that always reminds her why she is in this business. It is the moment that matters. With cd art, it's always the people she enjoy most. That is the magic for her. Finding out what makes that person, that band. What do they love about the music? Then creating something that makes them glow. If the mood of the shot is to be intense or dark, she would want to find what leads a person to that part of someone. What does one need to reach the place in oneself to discover the hidden thoughts that define a moment? Either way, that is what she love most. CD covers are special to her because they are the art of making the music and the art in one image.
