Rosane Svartman

Rosane Svartman graduated in Cinema Studies at Universidade Federal Fluminense, UFF (1991); master's degree in Communications - Aesthetics and Technology at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ (2006); PhD in Cinema Studies at Universidade Federal Fluminense, UFF. The book based on her thesis, Telenovelas and Transformation: Saving Brazil's Television Industry, was published by Routledge in 2021. Rosane directed 5 feature films: Como Ser Solteiro/ How to be Single in Rio (1998); Mais uma Vez Amor/ Once Again Love (2005); Desenrola/ Untangle (2011); Tainá - uma Aventura na Amazônia/ Tainá- an adventure in the Amazon (2012). She premiered 2022 her fifth feature film, shot underwater and in 3D, Pluft, o fantamisnha/ Pluft, the little ghost.
