The TV show "Condensed Classics with Dave Shaw", which Dave wrote for and hosted between 2001-2002, continues to air in repeats on Canadian television (as of May 2013). The show mixed elements of 'Elvira Mistress of the Dark', 'Mystery Science Theatre 3000' and the 50's 'Rat Pack'-era in showing, and having fun with, old school B-Movies. In a not so total change of pace, Dave wrote and directed the feature film "Late Night Classics presents Gorilla!", a comedic take on 50's B-Movies. He also appears in a supporting role as a 'Rat Pack'-era obsessed late night TV host (some things never change) hell-bent on taking down the titular beast. "Late Night Classics presents Gorilla!" will be released theatrically in June of 2013. Departing from the world of B-Movies and dinner jackets, he is currently acting as writer/director of "Kissproof World", a drama best described as 'female empowerment at the end of the world'. "Kissproof World" draws its inspiration from an album by GoGo's rocker Jane Wiedlin. It is due for release in Winter of 2013.
