After more than a decade working in Music and Sound Design for the advertising industry, in 2003 Sound Designer Tom Gambale founded MediaRacket, a boutique studio in the center of NYC designed to bring professional grade Sound Design and Audio Post Production services at competitive rates to indie content producers as an alternative to large, less budget-friendly Post houses. Since that time MediaRacket's client list has grown to include MLB, Refinery 29, The Sundance Channel, MOET, The New York Times, YouTube, Warner Brothers Home Video, LOGO Channel, USA Network, ESPN, BMW, NY-1 News, Hulu, Discovery ID, The History Channel, Tribeca Digital Studios and numerous independent producers and directors. Tom's film credits include the Warner Bros. documentary "Stanley Kubrick: A Life In Pictures", John Cameron Mitchell's controversial "Shortbus", "Before I Self-Destruct", written, produced and directed by 50 Cent, the Official Cannes Film Festival Selections "Stop the Pounding Heart" and "The Other Side" and the indie drama "Bereave" starring Malcolm McDowell, Jane Seymour and Keith Carradine. Tom has also worked on a number of television projects including Hulu's original series "The Path" and Discovery ID's "RedRum". Other projects include Hector Babenco's final film "My Hindu Friend" starring Willem Dafoe, the Psychological thriller "Alterscape" starring veteran actor Michael Ironside, the 2018 SXSW documentary "Weed the People" produced by Rikki Lake and the Sci-Fi indie "Superstrata" featuring Paz de la Huerta. Films in Tom's resume' have been selected by and have won awards in many major film festivals including The Sundance Film Festival, The Cannes Film Festival, The Venice Film Festival, The Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, The Boston Film Festival, The Dallas International Film Festival. The Brussels International Film Festival and many others.
