Luka Tratnik was born in Kranj Slovenia January 21st 1984. He found acting early on in life while performing in school plays and began gaining attention for his abilities immediately after his leading role as a philosopher in the play Nika. After answering an open call, he was cast as a co star in the movie Sladke Sanje (Sweet Dreams), which was released in October of 2001. His portrayal of the anti hero character Fric lead to much acclaim and the film went on to win a Golden Palm at Cannes Film festival. After various commercial work he took a short break from acting to care for his new born daughter Goja as well as pursue two diplomas, one in teaching art and the other in sculpting. Luka speaks English, Slovene, French and Serbo - Croatian.
