Roy Kurtluyan, is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California has been shooting feature films, documentaries & commercials for over 20 yrs. Roy's producers and directors have called him "multi-faceted," "dynamic," and "innovative," but his work speaks for itself. "The Skyjacker That Got Away," a recent episode of National Geographic's "Undercover History." was the highest rated episode ever for the series. "Tunnel to a Lost World," an episode of National Geographic's premier series "Explorer" was not only epic, sweeping, and beautiful, but garnered wide international acclaim, even in his native Turkey where the show was voted Documentary of the Year in 2009. Born and raised in Istanbul, Roy made his first film at age 9, and at age 17 made his way to Southern California where he studied photography & filmmaking and graduated with honors from San Diego State University's Film Program. In addition to his work as an independent cinematographer, Roy is also the founder of New Circuit Films, a commercial production company that has produced numerous commercials. Its clients include Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Kia, W Hotels, ABC Family, Subway, and Kraft, to name just a few.
