Jim Boggess

Jim Boggess may have alas only acted in one movie, but he nonetheless made the most out of his sole foray in front of the camera. Jim gave a hilariously broad and nasty performance as snippy and domineering high school beauty pageant chairwoman Betty Prunish in the archly amusing horror black comedy farce "Beauty Queen Butcher." Bogess now works as the music director of the Omaha Community Playhouse in Omaha, Nebraska, a position he's held since 1997. He's conducted the scores for stage productions of the cult play "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" and the eclectic cabaret "Moonfaced and Starry Eyed" (Boggess also acted in this latter play). Jim Boggess won accolades for his flamboyant portrayal of mysterious talent agent Sylvia St. Croix in the tongue-in-cheek musical stage production "Ruthless! The Musical."
