Monica Ramone Executive Producer / Showrunner Monica Ramone is an Emmy Nominated independent Director/Producer living bi-coastal in both New York and Los Angeles. She has over 15 years of experience working in every angle of the entertainment industry from Film, TV / Digital. She started in Development and Packaging with top Agencies and Film Studios to Directing and Producing Top rated TV Shows for various Television Production Companies and TV Networks. Monica began her career working at News Corp. in the International Television Division under Elisabeth Murdoch liaising coordinated press events in conjunction with the launching of Hit shows such as the "Simpsons," and "Melrose Place" for Fox International networks: B Sky B in the U.K., Star in Asia, Foxtel in Australia, and VOX in Germany. She then learned firsthand about talent and packaging by working directly with the Agency Partner at APA and then More/Medavoy Management assisting the career molding of young, hot actors such as Tobey Maguire, Josh Brolin, Jenna Elfman and David Schwimmer, as well as the creation of successful hit television shows like "Friends," "Dharma & Gregg" and "Just Shoot Me" as well as many feature films. At Paramount Pictures, she worked in Feature Business Affairs, learning Contract negotiations with Agents and Managers for the services of Hollywood's A-List Talent such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Scott Rudin, as well as other top Writers, Producers, and Directors. She then went onto consulting with Fox Television in the Business Affairs department drafting Talent deals during the hectic Pilot Seasons. After working for two major studios, Monica moved on in order to learn Production firsthand from Executive Producer Mark Burnett on "Survivor" and "Eco-Challenge." She assisted with securing international locations, government relations, budgeting, casting, crew, liaising with CBS executives and Ad agencies, Brand managers and Talent Agents and Attorneys. As everyone knows the series became the #1 Show in the Country and launched International Reality Formats. She took that experience in stride. In 2005, Monica started her own company, Synergy Productions, LLC. For her 1st assignment, she was sent on location to a remote island in Fiji for 3 months on the first Family Reality show "Under one Roof" for Endemol/CBS. She then traveled to Amsterdam to work in the studio with world re-known Jon De Mol of Endemol to develop a new Psychological Studio game show, "Judas Game," for Fox. She then was a Senior Game Producer on Hollywood's 1st Hybrid-Reality television show, "Joe Schmo," for Spike TV. Her next challenging assignment was to live and Field Direct "World's Apart," the 1st Family Reality series for National Geographic in Arctic Norway for 4 months by herself. She scouted, did casting and researched while living with indigenous Sami Reindeer Tribes. She traveling through the arctic tundra, learning the Sami language, setting up all logistics and filming episodes on location. Her sense of adventure lead her to next Supervise Produce the ground breaking series "Whale Wars" featuring the adventures of the Sea Shepherds Conservation Group in Antarctica for Animal Planet which helped re-brand the network and went onto be a successful series for the Network. Next she worked as Executive Producer with Cablevision network during their Re-brand. In her role she was given 5 high profile shows including the much anticipated family reality show "Downsized" and celebrity Mother / Daughter series with Joan Rivers entitled "Joan Knows Best." Monica managed these shows from concept, casting, story, budget, production and post. They were both highly acclaimed series for the Network at the TV Critics TCA presentations in Los Angeles. Monica continues to Produce for Studios / Web / Networks such as CBS, FOX, USA, HGTV, Discovery, Nat Geo, A & E, Travel Channel, Food Network, Style and E! and more.
