Metin Gungor was born in Turkey. He graduated from Marmara University and did master degree at Mimar Sinan University of fine Art (Painting) department. He joined an international competition and received 1st mention. Then He left Turkey and moved to London in 1987. There he worked for TV, Films and private collections as a traditional Artist. In the mean time, he studied acting in Lee Strasberg Studios London. In 1997 He went to Canada to studied post graduate in Visual Effects-Computer animation at Sheridan College. After his graduation he returned to England and studied another course at the Nfts Finishing school for The Art and Practice of Digital Digital composting. Then he started to work as matte painter at Mill Films. He worked in Jim Henson's Creature shop (London) as a lead Digital matte Painter and Art director. While he was working in London he also studied Film Directing in Panico Film course. He was offered a job at Digital Domain-USA as a lead matte painter. Metin Gungor left England for the job moved to Los Angeles in 2003 There, he also studied Film directing in UCLA and NYFA After completing many short movies Metin Gungor co directed and co produced his first feature film The Fist of Righteous Harmony 2008. The film been released on DVD. He traveled all around the world working as a matte Painter, Supervisor. He was working on Martin Scorsese Vfx Oscar winning film Hugo. Environment Supervisor for Conan and Expendables 2. He recently finished shooting a film about a Turkish Painter (Biographical drama) He Wrote the script, Produce, direct and acted in the movie. He writes his own projects storyboards them from concept to final edit. Now he lives in Europe and travels between Istanbul and London.
